The Horned Frogs hosts Texas Tech on Saturday at 11 a.m.
FORT WORTH – TCU's women's tennis team swept UTSA, 4-0, on Friday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
The Horned Frogs (12-12) won the doubles point with wins by Stevie Kennedy and Aleksa Cveticanin at No. 2, 6-2, and Helena Narmont and Isabel Pascual at No. 3, 6-3.
In singles play, Narmont won the first set of UTSA's Sophie Omowore, 6-3. Omowore then retired to give TCU its second point of the match and a 2-0 lead.
The next point came from Pascual, who won 6-4, 6-1, over Alexandra Weir. Moments later, the Frogs won the match from Mercedes Aristegui's win at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-2 over Jasmin Starr.
The Horned Frogs will face Texas Tech on senior day Saturday at 11 a.m. TCU will then host the Big 12 Championship April 21-24, at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
