Frogs ready for postseason action
FORT WORTH – The TCU swimming & diving teams are set to compete at the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America National Invitational Championships. The meet will run Thursday-Saturday with preliminaries beginning at 8:30 a.m. (CT) and finals starting at 5:00 p.m. (CT).

Last Time Out
The Frogs had a historic Big 12 Championships that resulted in the men's team finishing second overall and 12 top three finishes, including David Ekdahl winning the program's first diving title since the Frogs joined the Big 12.
Jeanne Dahmen picked up a silver medal in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.95. Also notching silver was Jadon Wuilliez in the 100 breaststroke with his time of 52.47. Recording the Frogs' third silver of the competition was Rylee Moore in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:57.34.
Adding to his gold medal, Ekdahl also recorded a second-place finish on 3-meter.
Overall, the Frogs also broke 13 school records at the Big 12 Championships.
NCAA Qualifiers
For the first time since 2014, TCU will be represented at the NCAA Championships.
Janis Silins qualified for the championships in the 100 breaststroke with his personal-best time of 52.11 that he swam at the Art Adamson Invitational.
Also qualifying for NCAAs was David Ekdahl. He placed sixth on 1-meter at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships. In addition, Ekdahl will also compete on 3-meter because of his true qualification on 1-meter.
Big 12 Awards
Since the start of the season, the Horned Frogs have earned 20 Big 12 weekly awards.

Success on the Global Stage
Ekdahl competed at the FINA World Junior Diving Championships and Wuilliez swam at the FINA World Swimming Championships.
Ekdahl, who dove for Team Sweden, placed third in the Mixed Team event, finishing only behind Russia and Italy. He also qualified and placed ninth in the Group A Boys 1-meter final with a score of 413.35.
At the FINA World Swimming Championships, Wuilliez broke four Antigua and Barbuda national records on two relays and two individual records. Individually, he broke national records in the 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke. In the 50m breaststroke, he swam a 26.98 to finish 21st overall. He also swam a stellar time of 58.73 to break the national record in the 100m breaststroke, placing 24th overall.
He was also part of the national-record holding mixed 4x50 freestyle relay team and mixed 4x50 medley relay team.
