
No. 4 TCU Set to Host Sweet Briar on Saturday

Vixens are tabbed No. 1 in NCEA Single Discipline rankings
FORT WORTH – The No. 4-ranked TCU equestrian team will host Sweet Brian in a Jumping Seat-only meet this Saturday, March 5, at Diamond Creek Ranch (nut free facility). The meet is set to begin at 10 a.m.
Sweet Briar comes into the meet ranked No. 1 in NCEA Single Discipline rankings.
ALL-TIME SERIES
TCU leads the all-time series 1-0 with a win in Fences over Sweet Briar in the first day of the 2018 Nationals. The last matchup took place on Apr. 18, 2018, where TCU came out victorious 2-1 in the event.
SCOUTING THE FROGS
TCU (9-5, 3-3 Big 12,) is coming off a huge win Saturday where the Horned Frogs took down then No. 1 Oklahoma State. Mattie Dukes had an outstanding day in the Western Seat, bringing home both Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) honors in the discipline. TCU clinched the meet following just the first three events, going on to win the meet 16-4. With its win over the Cowgirls, TCU set a new program record with a sixth straight victory, surpassing the five straight wins TCU notched to open the 2010-11 season. TCU's six consecutive wins have come against teams ranked inside the Top-10.
The Jumping Seat came out of the meet against OSU 7-3. The Frogs continue to have big performances from Emy Lucibello, Isabella Baxter and Ashleigh Scully in Fences. Each of them earned a point in the event carding a 77, 85 and 79, respectively. In Flat, Wynne Weatherly had the high score in the event outscoring her Cowgirl opponent 86-80.5. Ashleigh Scully moved to 7-6-0 in the event after an 83-72.5 win on Gipsy. Sophomore, Sydney Berube continues to improve in both Jumping Seat events as she went 1-1 against the Cowgirls and moved to 6-1-0 in Flat and 3-8-0 in Fences. Jacey Albaugh stays consistent in Flat brining home another win on Saturday with an 80 on Mac and claiming her seventh win on the season.

Sweet Briar (6-2, 0-0 ECAC) is heading to Texas to take on No. 7 SMU on Friday and then making the trek to Fort Worth to face the Horned Frogs on Saturday. The Vixens are the top-ranked team in NCEA Single Discipline rankings. In its last outing, Sweet Briar took home the victory over No. 5-ranked SUNY New Paltz, 5-3, in Virginia.
The Vixens swept SUNY New Paltz, 4-0, in Flat with Junior Kacie Freeburg leading the charge and bringing home the MOP in the event carding a 90.5. Sophomore Emmy Longest was named the MOP in Fences with a 78-77 win over her opponent. TCU will be the first and only Big 12 opponent the Vixens will face this year.
