Adika leads the way with 14 points for TCU
STILLWATER, Okla. – The TCU Horned Frogs dropped a Big 12 Conference road game to the Oklahoma State Cowgirls, falling 76-47 Wednesday evening at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
THE RUNDOWN
The Horned Frogs opened the third quarter with a 7-0 run, but the Cowgirls countered with a 15-2 run and never looked back. Oklahoma State scored the first 15 points of the fourth quarter and the deficit proved to be too much for a TCU comeback.
FROG FACTS
• For a second straight game, TCU used a starting line-up of Okako Adika, Tara Manumaleuga, Michelle Berry, Kayla Mokwuah and Lauren Heard.
• Just one foul was committed by either team in the first half … the first foul was not called until 1:19 left to play in the second quarter.
• Heard started her 114th game as a Horned Frog, moving into a tie for fifth-place all-time with Natalie Ventress (2012-15) … Heard is now two starts away from tying Jill Sutton (1997-2001), who tallied 116 career starts.
• Heard added to her all-time school record, playing in the 145th game of her career … she moved into a tie for seventh-place all-time in Big 12 history, matching Baylor's Odyssey Sims.
• Adika led the Horned Frogs in scoring, notching 14 points on 5-of-11 overall and 3-of-6 from three-point range.
• Mokwuah scored six of TCU's first eight points in the game … she ended the night with 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
