
Horned Frogs Downed in Lawrence on Sunday

Heard scores 22 points, but Frogs fall 75-60
LAWRENCE, Kan. – The TCU Horned Frogs and Kansas Jayhawks played to seven ties and 14 different lead changes, but it was the home team that came away victorious, 75-60, Sunday afternoon at Allen Fieldhouse.
Senior Lauren Heard scored 22 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field overall, 2-of-2 from three-point range and an 8-of-13 effort from the charity stripe. Senior Michelle Berry followed with nine points, while junior Tara Manumaleuga and fellow senior Aahliyah Jackson tallied eight points each. Jackson scored her eight points off the bench for the Frogs.
THE RUNDOWN
Kansas would end up closing both first and second halves with runs, which ended up being the difference in the game. TCU led 30-24 with 3:37 left to play in the second quarter, but a 10-1 run from the Jayhawks gave the home team a 34-31 lead at the break. The Jayhawks countered TCU's 10-4 fourth quarter run with a 9-0 run and never looked back on the way to earning the home win.
