Frogs beat the Cowgirls 16-4 Saturday Afternoon
FORT WORTH – The No. 5-ranked TCU equestrian team upset No. 1-ranked Oklahoma State, 16-4, Saturday afternoon at Diamond Creek Ranch. The Horned Frogs defeated a No. 1 ranked team for the first time since downing then No. 1-ranked Baylor back on April 14, 2017. For the first time in school history, TCU has rattled off six straight wins, with all six victories coming against ranked opponents.
Mattie Dukes claimed both MOPs on the Western side, collecting two MOPs in the same meet for the first time in her career.

THE RUNDOWN
TCU (9-5, 3-3 Big 12) opened the day with a 3-2 win in Fences with the first point of the day being secured by freshman, Emy Lucibello. Isabella Baxter came through with an 85-80 win on Elle to mark her eighth win in the event this season. Ashleigh Scully secured the event for the Frogs on Fats as she outscored her Cowgirl opponent 79-76.
In Flat, TCU outscored their opponent 4-1 for the third straight time and just the fourth time this season. This was one of the most dominate Flat team performances only dropping one point to Oklahoma State's Hope King who took home the MOP. Ashleigh Scully had the highest score in the event with an 83 and rode her way to her second Jumping Seat win of the day. Jacey Albaugh showed out on Senior Day as she brought home her eighth win in the event carding an 80-79.5 win on Mac. Sydney Berube stays constant in Flat as she claimed an 82.5-72 win on Wiz. Wynne Weatherly missed her season high by one with an 86-80.5 win on Luke.
On the Western Seat side, TCU secured the win over No. 1 Oklahoma State with a 4-1 win in Reining. Madyson Buchanan claimed the first point in the event and moves to 8-5-1 with a 70-67.5 win on Britney. After a three-loss drought in Reining, Mattie Dukes bounced back with a dominate performance to claim the point over OSU 72.5-70.5 on Snoop Dog and claim the events MOP. Jessica McAllister moves to 6-3-2 in the event with a 70-69 win on Bella. Shea Graham scored a 69.5 in the first ride on Alfie and secured a win over the top ranked Cowgirls when her opponent scored a 69.
In the Horsemanship arena, TCU decided that they were not done yet as they swept the Cowgirls 5-0. This is just the units second sweep this season and it came in the biggest meet this season. Shea Graham started it off with a 68.5-67.5 on Tony and fifth straight win in the event. Giorgia Medows came through on George carding a 75 with Jessica McAllister following right behind her with a 71-70 win on Cashew. Payton Boutelle continues to grow in the event with a 76.5-76 win on Bob anand securing her second win this season. Mattie Dukes' opponent was granted a re-ride on Jake where she won the dual 77-74.5 where she not only claimed her second win of the day but also her second MOP.

The Horned Frogs will be back in action Saturday, March 5 where they will host top ranked single discipline, Sweet Briar, at Diamond Creek Ranch at 10 a.m.
