
Freri, Moore Break Records on Day Two

The men's team sits in second in the team standings headed into Day Three
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The Horned Frogs swam to several top 5 finishes and two Frogs broke school records on Day Two of the Big 12 Championships
After Day Two, the men's team sits in second in the overall standings and the women's team is third.
Jadon Wuilliez recorded the highest individual finish of the day for the Frogs as he placed fourth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 19.92. Three other Frogs joined Wuilliez in the A final as Jake Litchfield finished sixth (20.17) and Raphael Paiva Da Lima and Noah Cumby tied for seventh (20.20).
Breaking his own school record in the 500 freestyle was Geremia Freri with a time of 4:16.93 as he finished fifth overall. He beat his previous record of 4:17.71 that he set at the USC Invitational.
Also finishing fifth was Olivia Rhodes with her time of 23.06 in the 50 freestyle. Making the A final in the 200 IM was Marlene Hirschberg. She finished sixth overall with a personal-best swim of 2:02.17.
In the 200 IM on the men's side, Luke DiMiceli placed seventh overall with a time of 1:47.24.
Serena Gould had a strong swim in the B final of the women's 500 freestyle as she swam the fifth-fastest time in TCU history at 4:52.62.
On the boards, Connie Deighton and Anna Kwong both qualified for the finals. Deighton placed sixth overall with a score of 302.60 and Kwong finished seventh with a score of 285.75, earning both divers Zone cuts.
Rounding out the event were two stellar performances by the 400 medley relay squads. On the women's side, Rylee Moore, Claire Chahbandour, Jeanne Dahmen and Olivia Rhodes swam a 3:39.26, just .12 seconds away from tying the current school record. Moore's start in the relay broke her own school record in the 100 backstroke, with a time of 53.46.
On the men's side, Stefan Varga, Janis Silins, Piotr Sadlowski and Paiva swam the second fastest time in TCU history with a time of 3:09.98, finishing second overall.

The Big 12 Championships will continue for the next three days, with tomorrow's prelims beginning at 9 a.m. and the finals beginning at 5 p.m. in Morgantown, W. Va.
