Mokwuah Sets New Career-High, Frogs Fall to #20 Sooners

Senior registers first-career 20-point game with 22 points on the night
FORT WORTH – TCU senior Kayla Mokwuah scored a career-high 22 points, but the Horned Frogs fell at home 92-57 to the No. 20-ranked Oklahoma Sooners Wednesday evening at Schollmaier Arena.
THE RUNDOWN
The Sooners knocked down nine three-pointers through the first two quarters of play and their 51-25 halftime lead was more than enough to carry them to a road victory in Fort Worth. Oklahoma finished the game with 15 three-pointers made, while the Horned Frogs were limited to just a pair of shots from downtown. TCU yielded 19 turnovers in the game as well, which led to 23 points for the opposition.

• For a sixth straight game, TCU starters included Okako Adika, Michelle Berry, Tara Manumaleuga, Kayla Mokwuah and Lauren Heard.
• Heard started her 118th game at TCU, moving into a tie for fourth-place in school history with Sandora Irvin.
• Heard played in her 149th career game, matching the Big 12 Conference's all-time record set by Baylor's Nina Davis.

• Tavy Diggs scored 13 points for the Frogs off the bench. She and Mokwuah were both tied for the team-high with six rebounds each.
• Caroline Germond set new season-highs in both assists (3) and steals (3). Her three takeaways were the most in a game since collecting six steals in last season's home-opener against Incarnate Word (Nov. 25, 2020).
