Frogs have a career day against Mustangs
DALLAS – The No. 8- ranked TCU equestrian team takes down No. 6 SMU in raw score 1528.5-1503.0 in a meet that came down to the wire on Thursday afternoon in Dallas. Giorgia Medows clinched the win for TCU in a re-ride while Sophomore, Sydney Berube crushed both of her career-highs in the Jumping Seat events.

THE RUNDOWN
TCU (6-5, 0-3 Big 12) opened the day with a 2-2 tie in Flat. Sophomore, Sydney Berube led the charge smashing her career high in the event with a 90-69.5 win on Captain. Sydnie Young followed suit and set her new career high in the event carding an 87.5 on Zulu.
In Fences, TCU brought home the win in the event, 3-2. Berube set her second career high of the day riding to a 90 on Rosie and outscoring her opponent by nine points. Freshman, Emy Lucibello set a new career high in the event carding an 89 on Zulu and outscoring her opponent by 14 points. Graduate Student, Raegan Rast claimed the event winning point with an 80-74 victory on Cotton.
On the Western side, TCU dropped Horsemanship for just the second time this season falling to the Mustangs 3-2. Payton Boutelle claimed a point with a 75.5-73 victory on Rita. Shea Graham came through with a 73-70 win on Shirley in the last ride of the event.
The meet concluded in the Reining arena where TCU tied SMU 2-2. Jessica McAllister remains dominate in the event as she claimed a point for the Frogs 73-72 on Jelly Bean. After a horse error on SMU's Moe, Dani Latimer of SMU and Giorgia Medows were granted a re-ride on T-Berg. SMU led 2-1 in the event when Medows took the dirt and outscored her opponent 71.5-71 and claimed the MOP. At the conclusion of the event the Meet was tied 9-9 but the Horned Frogs claimed the victory in raw score 1528.5-1503.0.
UP NEXT
The Horned Frogs will be back in action Saturday morning where they will travel down to Waco to take on No. 4 Baylor at the Willis Family Equestrian Center set for 11 a.m.
