The Horned Frogs had their largest win in eight years

FORT WORTH - A pair of 20-point performances led the No. 18 TCU men's basketball team to its largest win in the Jamie Dixon era, 103-57, over Central Arkansas Wednesday night at Schollmaier Arena.

Junior guard Mike Miles Jr. scored a game-high 21 points with the help of a career-high tying 11 made free throws on 13 attempts. Reigning Big 12 Player of the Week Emanuel Miller poured in 20 points and added a game-high 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season.

The Horned Frogs (11-1) led the entire game except for a brief stint early on. TCU was running all over Central Arkansas (5-8) with a 40-0 advantage on fastbreak points and got the ball down low with a 58-20 advantage in the paint.

Without the help of Micah Peavy, who missed the game due to an ankle injury, the Horned Frogs got 12 points each from JaKobe Coles and Shahada Wells off the bench. Wells had six rebounds and five assists for a well-rounded game.

TCU begins Big 12 Conference play Saturday at 11 a.m. when it hosts Texas Tech. It will be shown on ESPNU.

TCU improved to 1-0 over Central Arkansas.
TCU has 11 wins through 12 games for the seventh time in program history and the fourth time under Jamie Dixon.
TCU scored 100 points or more for the second time under Dixon.
The 103 points were the most by TCU since outscoring Mississippi Valley State, 106-53, on Nov. 24, 2014.
TCU won by 46 points, the most since a 46-point win over MVSU on Nov. 24, 2014.
TCU led 49-25 at halftime. The Frogs improved to 10-1 when leading at the half.
TCU's 28 assists were its most in a game since 29 against Central Michigan on Nov. 30, 2018.
TCU tied a season-low with seven turnovers.
TCU had 10 steals, its third straight game with double-digit steals.
TCU tied a season-high with 58 of its points in the paint.
The nation's leader in fastbreak points, TCU scored a season-high 40 and held UCA to zero.
TCU outrebounded UCA, 50-39. The Frogs improved to 8-1 this season and 108-35 under Dixon when outrebounding their opponent.
TCU's 50 rebounds were its most in a game since Dec. 21, 2021 when it had 52 against Grambling State.
Under Dixon, TCU has gone 70-11 in November and December combined.
Under Dixon, TCU is 81-12 against nonconference teams and 56-5 against those teams in Schollmaier Arena.

Individual Notes

Mike Miles Jr. scored a game-high 21 points. It was the fifth time this season he led the Frogs in scoring and the third time he scored 20 or more points.
Miles scored in double-figures for the 14th-straight game, dating back to last season.
Miles shot TCU's first nine free throw attempts and tied a career-best with 11 on 13 attempts.
Emanuel Miller scored 20 points. It was the second consecutive game Miller has scored 20 or more points after scoring 21 last week against Utah.
Miller led the team with 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season and 13th of his career.
The last time TCU had multiple players score 20 or more points was on March 20, 2022 against Arizona.
Damion Baugh led TCU in assists for the fourth time this season with six.
Baugh had a season-high four steals.
Shahada Wells came off the bench and finished with five assists. It's the fifth time this season he had five or more assists. He finished with 12 points and tied a season-high with six rebounds.
Chuck O'Bannon Jr. was 1-of-5 from 3-point range. It was his 13th-straight game with at least one made three, dating back to last season.
Cole Despie scored his first career points with a 3-pointer late in the game.
