FORT WORTH – In its final game before the holiday break, the TCU women's basketball team took down Nicholls State 75-32 on Wednesday afternoon inside Schollmaier Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
TCU took control of the game early and never looked back. The Horned Frogs ended the first quarter on a 9-0 run to take a 17-4 lead after one quarter of action. Tomi Taiwo started the second quarter with a 3-point basket and TCU continued to extend its lead. Nicholls State was never able to keep the game close as TCU ran away with the 43-point victory.
Taiwo led the Horned Frogs in scoring with 12 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field, and also swiped five steals in the game. Bella Cravens recorded 10 points on a perfect 5-for-5 shooting performance, while Aaliyah Roberson finished with 10 points in her 20 minutes on the floor.
As a team, TCU shot .485 percent from the field and .200 percent from behind the 3-point line. The Horned Frogs out-rebounded the Colonels by a 41-31 margin on the glass.
Lexi Alexander led Nicholls State in scoring with 15 points and seven rebounds.

TCU will open Big 12 play on Saturday, December 31 when they travel south to Waco for a matchup against Baylor. Tip-off against the Bears is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Big 12 Now on ESPN +.
