
Miller, Miles Lead TCU to 75-71 Win at Utah

The Horned Frogs forced 19 turnovers in the win
SALT LAKE CITY - Behind 21 points from Emanuel Miller and 18 points from Mike Miles Jr., No. 20 TCU won its eighth-straight game of the season, 75-71, over Utah Wednesday at Vivint Arena.
Facing its toughest defense of the season, the Horned Frogs (10-1) shot 44.6 percent, 50 percent in the second half, and dominated down low, outscoring the Runnin' Utes (9-4) 46-28 in the paint. TCU forced Utah into 19 turnover and committed just 10.
Miller's 21 points came on a 9-of-14 effort from the field, including 2-of-2 from 3-point range. He added seven rebounds for the second-straight game.
Miles scored 18 points on 8-of-16 shooting and had a team-high four assists.
TCU built its biggest lead of the game, 27-17, after an Xavier Cork layup with 6:54 to play in the first half. The Horned Frogs held onto a 36-29 lead at halftime.
TCU expanded its lead back to 10 points, twice, the last on a Miller jumper two minutes into the period. The Runnin' Utes tied the game three times in the next 10 minutes but failed to take their first lead since nine minutes into the game.
TCU scored the next six points and appeared to be pulling away, but Gabe Madsen kept Utah in the game. Madsen finished with 26 points on 7-of-15 shooting from 3-point range.
Utah cut the deficit to five, 68-63, with 2:33 to play. TCU went the final four minutes without a field goal but JaKobe Coles went 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the final 2:08 to close out the four-point win.
The Horned Frogs will return to action on Dec. 28 when they host Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
