No. 2 TCU claims victory against No. 9 UC Davis at Friday’s rainy meet

FORT WORTH – The Horned Frogs take the victory at Bear Creek Farms over No. 9 UC Davis, 15-5. This marks TCU's sixth win of the season and eighth straight home win.
The meet started in the Western arena with Horsemanship, where the Horned Frogs secured an insurmountable lead, 5-0. Jessica McAllister earned TCU's first point and the MOP for the event, with a 76.5 on Jake. Mattie Dukes rode Gomer for a 76, and Payton Boutelle earned a 72.5 on Tony. Riding George, Giorgia Medows secured a 75, and Shea Graham rode Bob for a 76.5.
Mother Nature then halted the action for about an hour until the meet picked back up in the Jumping Seat arena with Flat. Ashleigh Scully secured the first point for the Frogs with a 74 on Mac. Sydnie Young snagged a point as well, riding Casper for a 79. Finally, Laurel Smith got the MOP with an 82 on Lui. The Frogs ended Flat, up 8-2.
Moving into Fences, Sydney Berube earned the first point with an 84 on Phia. Jordyn Scelsa pulled one in riding Callisto for an 85. Ashleigh Scully got a point and the MOP for the event, scoring an 84 on Van. The last point of the event was snagged by Isabella Baxter, who rode Java for an 82.
Last up came Reining. Securing the first point for TCU was Lannie-Jo Lisac with a 69.5 on Bob. Mattie Dukes rode Snoop Dog for a 71, snagging the point and the MOP for the event. Jessica McAllister also drew in a point with a 70.5 on Roxie.
The Frogs ended the meet with victories in all four events.
