
TCU Finishes Second at Battle at the Beach

Lau finishes second with career-low for 54 holes
SAN JOSE DEL CABO, Mexico – TCU's women's golf team finished in second place at the Battle at the Beach on Sunday, led by Junior Lois Lau's runner-up finish.
The Horned Frogs shot 1-over 285 in the final round, but fell to an impressive LSU team that went 10-under 274 to finish 14-under 838. TCU finished 8-under 844.
For the third-straight round, Lau finished under par and shot 2-under 69. She shot a career-best 11-under 202 overall. It was Lau's second top five finish this fall. Ingrid Lindblad of LSU, who went 7-under 64 on Sunday, earned medalist honors.
Caitlyn Macnab also finished in the top five by shooting 6-under 207 and finishing in fourth place. The sophomore shot 1-over 72 in the round.
Sofia Barroso Sa also shot 1-over 72 and finished tied for 29th with a score of 4-over 217. Trinity King finished in a tie for 40th place at 6-over 219.
The Horned Frogs return to play in the new year, at the Match in the Desert on Jan. 23 in Gold Canyon, Ariz.
