Horned Frogs begin against No. 1 ranked Texas Tech
FORT WORTH – TCU will complete its fall season at the Big 12 Match Play Tournament starting Monday at The Clubs at Houston Oaks in Hockley, Texas.
Seeded eighth, TCU will play top seed and the No. 1 ranked team in the nation, Texas Tech at 8 a.m. on Monday. The Red Raiders are coached by TCU graduate Greg Sands. Sands played for current head coach Bill Montigel and graduated in 1997.
At 1:30 on Monday, TCU will play No. 4 seed Texas. The Frogs will then play No. 9 Iowa State on Tuesday at 8 a.m. before playing No. 5 Kansas State at 1:30 p.m.
At the conclusion of pool play, each team will be ranked 1-5 within their pool based on the amount of points accrued.
The championship match will feature the team with the highest point total from Pool A with the team and the highest point total from Pool B. The third-place match will be between the teams with the second highest point totals from their respective pools. Each team will participate during the championship afternoon.
Each team will play with six in each match. TCU's lineup will consist of the following players, senior Gustav Frimodt, senior Jacob Skov Olesen, senior Aymeric Laussot, senior Chris Berzina, sophomore Ethan Dial, junior Brandon Massey and senior Brent Hamm.

The Clubs at Houston Oaks opened in 2017. The name comes from an abundance of large oak trees that the course winds among, many of which are over 200 years old.

Gustav Frimodt earned medalist honors at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 4 at Colonial Country Club. The senior finished with career-bests vs. par for a round, 5-under 65, and for a tournament, 8-under 202. The Horned Frogs defeated four top 24 teams to finish tied for ninth place.
