TCU resumes at 8 a.m. on Tuesday

HOCKLEY, Texas – Gustav Frimodt defeating world No. 10 Travis Vick highlighted TCU's first day of the Big 12 Match Play Tournament on Monday at The Clubs at Houston Oaks.

Coming off his win at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, Frimodt defeated Vick of Texas, 2&1. The senior from Denmark never trailed and led by as many as four over the 2022 Golfweek All-American.

TCU's match with the defending national champion Longhorns was paused with a tied score, 3-3-0, due to darkness. The match between Keaton Vo and Jacob Olesen will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday with Vo leading by one through 15. Chris Berzina and Brent Hamm each won their match against the Longhorns.

Following a nearly two-hour weather delay, TCU lost to nationally No. 1 ranked Texas Tech, 4-0-2, in the morning round. Berzina and Olesen earned ties in their match

After completing the match against Texas, TCU will face nine-seed Iowa State at about 9:30 a.m. and five-seed Kansas State following the morning round.
