
Women's Golf Concludes Play at Illini Invitational

Lau (-5), Macnab (-4) and Sá (-1) all finish under par
MEDINAH, Ill. – TCU women's golf closed out the Illini Invitational at Medinah Country Club, carding a final round score of -2 (286) on the way to finishing in a tie for 11th place. The Horned Frogs finished the event at 4-under par (860).
Junior Lois Lau registered a third consecutive top-20 finish, placing in a tie for 19th overall. She carded a team-low -4 (68) in the final round and capped her 54-hole score with a score at 5-under par (211). Both she and sophomore Caitlyn Macnab carded par or better in all three rounds. Macnab finished in a tie for 23rd place with a 54-hole score of 4-under par (212).
Macnab has shot par or better in six of nine rounds this season, while Lau has posted scores of par of better in five of her nine rounds played.
Freshman Sofia Barroso Sá notched a score of +1 (73) on Tuesday, rounding out her three-round score of 1-under par (215) to finish in a tie for 35th place. Junior Sabrina Nguyen finished in a tie for 72nd place with a 54-hole score of +7 (223) and freshman Charlette Cattaneo rounded out TCU's scoring, placing in a tie for 78th overall with a score of +11 (227).
Macnab ranked tied for fourth overall in the field with 40 pars. Barroso Sá was one of just 12 players in a field of 84 total players to register at least one eagle in the event.
TCU will take a break in action this week, returning to the course on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 23-24, at the Jim West Invitational in San Marcos, Texas.
