Trio of Horned Frogs Shoot Under Par at Illini Invite

Barroso Sá, Macnab and Lau all under par heading into tomorrow's final round
MEDINAH, Ill. – The TCU women's golf team carded a two-round score of 2-under par (290-284=574) and sit in a tie for 13th place with one round left to play at the illini Invitational at Medinah Country Club.
Freshman Sofia Barroso Sá and sophomore Caitlyn Macnab both sit at 2-under par following 36 holes of play. Both players are tied for 29th place in the individual standings. Macnab fired a round of -2 (70) in the first round on Monday, while posting a score of even-par (72) in the afternoon. Barrosa Sá was +2 (74) in the first round, but she bounced back with four birdies and an eagle in the second round on the way to score of -4 (68).
Junior Lois Lau in in a tie for 35th place as she sits at -1 (71-72=143) following the first two rounds of action. Meanwhile, junior Sabrina Nguyen and freshman Charlotte Cattaneo are both tied in 66th place with score of 4-over par.
Third round action will begin tomorrow with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The Horned Frogs will begin off holes No. 14, 15, 16 and 17, and will be paired with Oklahoma and East Tennessee State.
