Madi Cole Leads Match with 4 Blocks in Collegiate Debut
MADISON, Wisc. -- TCU volleyball (0-1) fell to No. 2 Wisconsin on Friday night at the Wisconsin Field House in Madison, Wisc. Sophomore middle blocker Madi Cole led all players with four blocks in her first collegiate match, the most blocks by a Horned Frog in their debut match in the Big 12 era.
"It was good to start the season playing in front of a great environment like this," head coach Jill Kramer said. "We have missed competing in front of fans. We had some keys coming into this match that we needed to do a better job of. Our serve and pass game wasn't where we wanted it to be and we needed to be much more aggressive offensively. I thought McKenzie [Nichols] gave our attackers some good looks. Madi Cole had an outstanding performance in her first live match in her third year in the program. She started tonight and hit .600, leading the whole match in blocks. Cecily [Bramschreiber] made her first start at libero for us and made some great plays. We are looking forward to competing again tomorrow against Minnesota."
