MADISON, Wisc. -- TCU volleyball (0-2) dropped a three-set match to No. 7 Minnesota on Saturday night inside the UW Field House in Madison, Wisc. Freshman libero Cecily Bramschreiber led the match in digs for the second straight outing, finishing with 14.
"We learned a lot about ourselves this weekend and the areas we need to improve on moving forward," head coach Jill Kramer said. "We didn't pass well enough in the first set to have a lot of options with our offense, which made us one dimensional early. As the match progressed we began to pass better, served tougher and gave ourselves an opportunity to compete. We saw some great play from our team in the second and third set, just needed to be better for longer. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back to Schollmaier Arena this week."

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set 1 (Minnesota, 25-7): The Frogs couldn't find the space to terminate in the opening set as the Gopher defense racked up 16 digs and led from start to finish. Cecily Bramschreiber was strong in the back row, delivering five digs as Minnesota won the set by 18 points.

Set 3 (Minnesota, 25-16): TCU started the third set with an influx of energy, matching the Top 10 Gophers point for point. There were eight tie scores and five lead changes before Minnesota claimed 10 of the final 12 points to win the set by nine and claim the match in three sets. Nalls led the way with four of her five total kills coming in the third set.
