The Horned Frogs Battle No. 35 Ohio State in NCAA Round of 16
ORLANDO, Fla. – No. 7 TCU men's tennis (18-7) is set to take on No. 35 Ohio State (22-3) on Monday, May 17 at noon CT in the round of 16 at the NCAA Championships from the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

TCU is playing in the NCAA Round of 16 for the sixth post season in a row. The Horned Frogs are one of five teams to have reached the Round of 16 in each of the last six NCAA Tournaments (also Texas, North Carolina, USC and Ohio State).
TCU claimed a share of the 2021 Big 12 Regular Season Title this season, along with Baylor and Texas. The Horned Frogs have won at least a share of the Big 12 regular season championship in four of the last five completed seasons.
Luc Fomba became the third Horned Frog in the last four seasons to have earned Big 12 Player of the Year honors (also Alex Rybakov (2019) and Cameron Norrie (2017)). He becomes the first sophomore to earn the award since 2008 and just the fourth to win since the awards inception, in 1997.
NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Horned Frogs are making their 31st appearance in the NCAA Tournament. They have advanced to the Round of 16 for the 14th time in program history and the sixth year in a row, not counting 2020.
TCU has reached the national semifinals three times: 1989, 1996 and 2015. The Horned Frogs are hoping to advance past the Final Four for the first time in program history this season.
The Horned Frogs are 16-6 all-time in NCAA Tournament matches under Head Coach David Roditi. TCU's six singles players enter this week with a combined 13-2 record in NCAA Tournament singles matches and a perfect 7-0 already, this year.
ROAD WARRIORS
TCU is right at home on the road. The Frogs lead the country in road victories over ranked opponents, with nine, the most in a single season since the turn of the century.
TCU has bested No. 1 Baylor, No. 4 Texas, No. 14 Ole Miss, No. 16 Mississippi State, No. 23 Stanford, No. 26 Texas Tech, No. 29 Pepperdine, No. 33 USF and No. 47 Tulsa in true road matches this season.
