FORT WORTH – TCU women's tennis (9-13, 3-6) couldn't overcome No. 8 Baylor on Friday afternoon inside the Hawkins Tennis Center in Waco, Texas. Marie Norris delivered her career-best 21st singles win of the season in the 4-1 loss.
The Horned Frogs had a great opportunity to take the doubles point with Mercedes Aristegui and Isabel Pascual Montalvo delivering a tidy victory, 6-2, while the other two matches were both on serve, 4-4. But Baylor found the points late and would secure breaks to win both matches, taking a 1-0 advantage into singles play.
In singles, TCU kept fighting, winning two opening sets but Baylor proved to be too much, as BU claimed wins on courts five, three and two to knock TCU out of the tournament.
