TCU finishes the regular season 5-4

"I'm proud of our girls for our efforts out there today. It was a long day, but they gave it everything they had. We have time to clean up our mistakes before we ride again and I am very thankful that we were able to compete in every meet that was scheduled at the beginning of the year.
THE RUNDOWN
TCU (5-4, 2-3 Big 12) opened the day earning two points in Horsemanship action. Anna Hauter got the Frogs rolling winning the first point of the day, 71.5-70, on Romeo. Jessica McAllister earned the MOP in the event recording a 75.5 on Rudy to top Jojo Roberson's 74.5.
The action turned to Fences where Oklahoma State (3-1, 3-1 Big 12) won 3-2. Isabella Baxter and Ashleigh Scully won back-to-back points with scores of 84 and 81, respectively. Oklahoma State's Emma Pacyna won the event MOP with a 90 on Copa.
The Cowgirls came out hot after the break winning the second half 8-1. Mattie Dukes won the Reining MOP with a 70.5 on St. Nic. Jacey Albaugh and Scully put together the highest Fences ride with an 85. Alex Beneson tied her ride in Flat with Katie Schell. They both carded a 79 on Adriano.
NOTES
- TCU competed in all nine meets it had scheduled at the beginning of the season.
- AT .556, TCU has posted its highest winning percentage in the regular season since the 2012-13 season.
- Jessica McAllister won her second career MOP in Horsemanship.
- Mattie Dukes picked up her third Reining MOP of the season. She ties with Alex Beneson for the team lead.
UP NEXT
The Frogs are locked in at the No. 3 seed in the Big 12 Championship. Their first round opponent will be known pending the result of tomorrow's meet between Baylor and Oklahoma State.
