TCU volleyball opens up Spring Big 12 play
FORT WORTH – TCU volleyball opens up Big 12 Conference play this weekend, when the Horned Frogs host Kansas for a weekend series at Schollmaier Arena. TCU will battle Kansas on Friday, March 12 and Saturday, March 13, at 1 p.m.

Frog Focus
- TCU is playing in its seventh home match inside Schollmaier Arena, its new, permanent home.
- Freshman DS/L Kate Georgiades has been on an historic pace receiving serves. The College Station product has successfully received all but three of the 234 serves sent her way over her first 13 matches (98.7 percent). She is on pace to set the TCU single season receiving record, in her first year wearing the purple and white.
- Junior MB Katie Clark has improved her efficiency dramatically this spring. She is hitting .255 over the last three matches, more than doubling her efficiency from the fall (.112).
- Clark, along with MyKayla Myers, is second on the team in kills, with 23.
- Sophomore Julia Adams has picked up where she left off in the fall. She leads the team with 32 kills in just eight sets of work (4.00 kills/set).
- She made an impact in her last match against Oklahoma, delivering 14 kills and seven digs in three sets.
- Her work on the defensive end has improved since the fall. She is averaging 1.75 digs/set this spring, nearly a full dig better than her fall output (0.84 digs/set).
- Adams is currently third on the team in digs/set this spring.
Dig it Again Dan
- Senior Dani Dennison has been one of the most dependable players on the roster throughout her career.
- She has played in all 106 of TCU's matches over her college career, starting a majority at libero.
- Dennison has reached 1,256 digs, the third most in program history.
- She is fourth in the conference with 4.14 digs/set.
- She leads the team with 211 digs through 13 matches. Dennison is on track to become the first player in program history to lead TCU in digs three times over the course of her career.
- She recorded 20+ digs three times in the fall, matching her total from the last two seasons combined.

Scouting the Opponent: Kansas
- The Jayhawks enter the weekend with a 6-10 record, 5-9 in Big 12 conference play.
- They are 1-1 this spring, dropping a four-set match to Xavier before sweeping Texas State at home.
- This will be the first road contest of spring play for KU.
- The Jayhawks strength lies in the service game. KU is second in the conference with 1.42 aces per set, led by UCLA graduate transfer, Jenny Mosser (.43 SA/S) and freshman Ayah Elnady (.31 SA/S).
- This will be the 18th all-time match between TCU and KU. The Jayhawks lead the all-time series, 13-4. The Horned Frogs are 3-5 in home matches.
