
Frogs Begin Big 12 Play at Baylor

TCU looking to start 4-0 for the first time since 2010
WACO, Texas – The No. 7 TCU equestrian team will take to the road for the first time this season as it begins Big 12 Conference play against No. 9 Baylor at the Willis Family Equestrian Center Saturday, Feb. 6. The meet will begin at 11 a.m.

"It was a short turnaround from our last meet, but the energy is high with this group. Everyone is confident in themselves and we really feel good going into Big 12 competition. Baylor is always a great challenge for us, especially when we face them at their place, but I expect a lot of fight out of our team."
ALL-TIME SERIES
Baylor leads the all-time series 22-7 over the Frogs. The Bears are undefeated with 11 wins when they are the home team.
TCU won the most recent matchup between the two sides, 12-8, at Diamond Creek Ranch on Feb. 7, 2020. The victory broke a four-meet win streak for the Bears.
TCU Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield and Baylor Head Coach Casie Maxwell are facing each other for the 20th time.

The Horned Frogs (3-0) come off a convincing 12-6 win over No. 3 SMU on Wednesday afternoon that saw TCU win 7-3 in Jumping Seat and 5-3 in Western with Flat and Horsemanship both claiming 4-1 event victories.
Alex Beneson won her second Most Outstanding Performer of the season, this one coming in Fences after an 81 on Fats. She is one of six TCU riders who is undefeated with three wins this season. The Frogs are evenly split with three of the six riders in both the Jumping Seat and Western discipline.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Baylor (0-1) too is beginning Big 12 action, they fell in their season opener to then seventh-ranked Texas A&M on the road, 9-9, with a tiebreaker loss of 1579.75-1568.75 in raw scores.
The Bears return honorable mention All-America selection Maddie Vorhies in Fences action. Baylor dominated the Aggies in Flat action, winning 4-1 in the event but struggled on the Horsemanship side in a 1-4 defeat.
