
TCU Dominates No. 2 Oklahoma State

Frogs pick up two MOPs in rout.
FORT WORTH – The No. 4 TCU equestrian team earned its biggest win over a conference foe since joining the Big 12 with a 14-5 victory over No. 2 Oklahoma State Sunday.

THE RUNDOWN
TCU (4-1, 1-1 Big 12) opened the day in Fences action where the entire lineup was rolling. Raegan Rast led the Frogs with a score of 87 on Callisto to earn a point. Isabella Baxter, Alex Beneson and Ashleigh Scully also picked up points for the Frogs with scores of 86.5, 86 and 85, respectively.
In the first Western event, Reining, sophomore Mattie Dukes tallied her second Reining MOP of the season, winning 71-69 on Smooch over OSU's Hannah Lovrien. Giorgia Medows made her debut in Reining, carding a 69.5 on Roxie. Shea Graham secured the last TCU point in the event on Snoop Dogg.
After the intermission, TCU came out with a fury in Flat, winning the event 4-1 and clinching an 8-2 victory in the Jumping Seat discipline. Jacey Albaugh set a new career high and tied the seventh best all-time ride in program history with a 92 on Mo to win her point and the MOP. Beneson won 85-79 on Casper to defeat the Cowgirls' Hope King. Scully notched her second point of the day with an 84-82 decision over Katie Pelzel. Freshman Sydnie Young earned the final TCU point with a 79-78 win on Mabel.
In the final event of the day, TCU won 5-3 in Horsemanship. Medows was the high scorer of the event for the Frogs with a 75 on Jake. Jessica McAllister recorded a 71.5 on George and Anna Hauter finished off the day with a 71-64.5 decision on Cupid to lead the Frogs to victory.
NOTES
- The Horned Frogs won by a margin of nine points. It was TCU's biggest win in a conference meet since TCU joined the Big 12 Conference in 2012, breaking the record of 8 (13-5 over K-State on Nov. 14, 2014).
- TCU won its fourth ever meet against the No. 2 ranked team and first time since the Frogs beat Georgia, 10-5, in the 2016 NCEA National Championship semifinals.
- The Frogs competed on a Sunday for the first time since Feb. 12, 2017 when they hosted South Carolina.
- TCU snapped Oklahoma State's four-meet win streak.
- Jacey Albaugh tied for the seventh highest score in a Flat ride in program history with a 92.
- Albaugh set a new career high in Flat breaking her old personal best of 91.
- Isabella Baxter rode in her 60th career trip as a Horned Frog.
- Alex Beneson eclipsed 40 wins in her career between the Fences and Flat events.

TCU will be back in action next weekend when it hosts No. 6 Baylor on Senior Day. The Frogs will honor seven seniors for all their contributions to the program. The meet is slated to be broadcast live through Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
