The Horned Frogs Prepare for Weekend Series in Lubbock
FORT WORTH – TCU volleyball (8-10, 2-6) readies for a weekend series, on the road, against Texas Tech (13-10, 3-7). This will be the 25th and 26th matches between the two schools, the all-time series is tied, 12-12. TCU will take on the Red Raiders twice, on Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. inside United Supermarkets Arena.

Series History: TCU vs Texas Tech
- TCU has delivered some of its best performances of the last few seasons against the Red Raiders.
- Last year, TCU made 76 kills in a five-set win over Texas Tech - the most kills in a Big 12 match in program history. Julia Adams and Afedo Manyang were the catalysts in that performance, posting 24 kills each.
- In four career matches vs the Red Raiders (19 sets) setter, McKenzie Nichols, has racked up 213 assists (11.21/set) including 64 in the five-set victory last season (10/8/20) - the most assists in a Big 12 match in program history.
- Three of Nichols' six 50+ assist matches over her first two seasons came against Texas Tech.
- Manyang leads all active Horned Frogs with 3.50 kill/set on .344 hitting in her three career matches against TTU.
- Dani Dennison has recorded 10 or more digs in 7 of her 9 career meetings vs. TTU, including each of the last four matches.
- TCU is 3-2 against Texas Tech in Lubbock under head coach Jill Kramer.

- Senior Dani Dennison will end her career as the greatest DS/L in program history.
- She set the TCU program record for career digs earlier this season. She now stands at 1,475.
- Dennison has played in all 128 matches over her college career, starting a majority at libero. She holds the longest streak of consecutive matches played in program history.
- She is second on the team this year in digs/set (2.28), including 3.00 digs/set in Big 12 matches.
- Since returning to the libero role seven matches ago, Dennison is averaging a team-best 3.21 digs/set.
- Dennison led TCU in digs last season, finishing with 287 in 21 matches, becoming the first Horned Frog in program history to lead the team in total digs over three seasons (2017, 2019 and 2020/21). She is 26 digs shy of the team-lead this season. There has never been a Horned Frog lead the team in digs across four separate seasons.
- Texas Tech comes into the weekend after suffering a series sweep against Kansas State, on the road, last weekend: 2-3 and 1-3.
- The Red Raiders are 3-4 at home this season and 1-3 at home in Big 12 competition.
- This will be TTU's first home match since Oct. 8, when the Raiders defeated Iowa State in four sets.
- Junior outside hitter Kenna Sauer is hitting 3.56 kills/set in Big 12 play so far, the sixth most in the conference.
- TTU's libero, KJ Adams has posted 4.54 digs/set in conference action, the third most in the Big 12.
- TCU and Texas Tech have split the all-time season series, 12-12. TCU is 3-2 against Texas Tech in Lubbock in the Jill Kramer era.
