HOW IT HAPPENED:
Set 1 (WVU, 25-10): WVU jumped out to a 14-4 advantage and never looked back, winning the first set by 15 points. The Frogs made 15 digs, led by five from Dennison, but the long rallies resulted in WVU points more times than not and the Mountaineers claimed the opening set.
Set 2 (WVU, 25-23): TCU got off to a much better start in the second set, but couldn't hold the lead as WVU erased an 11-6 TCU advantage to tie the score, 17-17, and eventually win three of the final four points to take the set. Audrey Nalls led the offense with five kills on .500 hitting and two aces as Wehrstein paced the back row with six digs.
Set 3 (WVU, 25-20): The third set was evenly contested but WVU managed to limit the TCU offense to just four points while serving, keeping TCU from ever scoring more than two points in a row. That defensive effort allowed WVU to hold onto a 14-10 advantage all the way to the end of the set. Hall was the key to the offensive attack, making five kills on .500 hitting to go along with an ace and two more blocks.
