ABOUT THE GAME
• TCU will look to become bowl eligible when it faces Iowa State on Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Ames in the regular-season finale.
• TCU is playing on the day after Thanksgiving for the fifth time in the last seven seasons with the Horned Frogs 3-1 in that stretch.
• TCU's Black Friday wins include Baylor, 28-21, in double overtime at home in 2015, 31-9 at Texas in 2016 and then Baylor again, 45-22, in 2017 to clinch a spot in the Big 12 Championship Game.
• Since 2005, TCU is 8-3 when playing on a Friday.

HOMECOMING
• TCU quarterback Max Duggan is a native of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and graduate of Lewis Central High School.
• Duggan was the 2018 Iowa Gatorade Player of the Year. As a senior, he passed for over 2,100 yards and 24 touchdowns while adding 1,200 yards rushing in leading Lewis Central to an 11-1 record.

• Since 2009, TCU is seventh nationally with 45 road wins. The Horned Frogs are 45-23 (.662) in that stretch.
• TCU's 53-29 record (.646) in road and neutral-site games since 2009 is seventh-best in the FBS.
• TCU's 35-22 mark (.614) in conference road games since 2009 is 13th-best in the country.
• TCU is 23-22 on the road in its Big 12 history.

MEET JERRY KILL
• TCU Interim Head Coach Jerry Kill joined the Horned Frogs in February 2020 as special assistant to the head coach in charge of offense.
• Before arriving at TCU, Kill served as special assistant to the head coach at Virginia Tech in 2019.
• Among his many coaching accolades, Kill was the consensus 2014 Big Ten Coach of the Year after leading Minnesota to the Citrus Bowl for its first New Year's Day game since 1962. He was head coach of the Golden Gophers from 2011-15.
• While at Southern Illinois (2001-07), he was the FCS Eddie Robison National Coach of the Year in 2004 as well as the 2007 Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year. He led the Salukis to five straight NCAA playoff appearances. He then served as head coach at Northern Illinois from 2008-10, earning the Grant Teaff FCA Coach of the Year Award in 2010 when he guided the Huskies to a 10-3 record and berth in the Mid-American Conference Championship Game.

SERIES HISTORY
• TCU and Iowa State will be meeting for just the 13th time in their history.
• TCU holds an 8-4 series lead, including a 5-4 advantage since beginning Big 12 play in 2012.
• TCU is 3-2 versus Iowa State in Ames, 4-2 in Fort Worth and 1-0 at neutral sites (2005 Houston Bowl).
• Iowa State took a 37-23 victory in 2012 in the Horned Frogs' first-ever Big 12 home game. It snapped a 12-game TCU winning streak that was the longest in the nation at the time.
• Prior to TCU beginning Big 12 play in 2012, the teams had not met since a 27-24 Horned Frogs' victory in the 2005 Houston Bowl.
• The series began with a 27-10 TCU win in Fort Worth in 1995.

TCU NOTABLES
• Over the last seven seasons, TCU has the Big 12's third-best conference record (41-30) and overall mark (63-36).
• TCU is one of just seven programs nationally to finish with an Associated Press Top-10 final ranking in at least three of the last seven seasons (2014, 2015, 2017). The others are Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Penn State.

NFL HOUSE GUESTS
• TCU was the practice site for three weeks last month for the New Orleans Saints, who were displaced due to Hurricane Ida.
• The Saints were the third NFL team in the last 11 years to practice at TCU. The Dallas Cowboys have utilized the Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility, while TCU was the host practice site for the Pittsburgh Steelers during Super Bowl XLV in Arlington.

TCU SUPPORT
• Since it began Big 12 play in 2012, TCU has had over $400 million in donor-funded athletics facilities upgrades. The most recent project was the $113 million Legends Club & Suites which opened in Fall 2020 on the east side of Amon G. Carter Stadium.
