Duggan passes for two touchdowns
AMES, Iowa – The TCU football team's season came to a close with a 48-14 loss at Iowa State Friday afternoon.
Trailing 17-0, TCU got on the board with a 47-yard touchdown pass from Max Duggan to Blair Conwright with 1:33 left in the first half. It was the longest reception of Conwright's career and capped a 6-play, 75-yard drive.
A 78-yard Derius Davis kickoff return set up a 6-yard scoring pass from Duggan to Tyler Guyton for TCU's final points of the game, making it a 34-14 contest with 10:54 remaining. It was the first career reception and touchdown for Guyton, a converted offensive lineman playing h-back.
Duggan, playing in his home state, completed 15-of-26 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns.
Emari Demercado, in his final game, rushed for a team-high 65 yards on 15 carries. The final three contests of his TCU career saw him post his three-best rushing totals. He had 90 yards against Oklahoma State and 89 versus Kansas. Demercado also caught four passes against Iowa State.
Davis had four receptions for 63 yards to give him a team-best and career-high 36 catches on the season.
