Demercado rushes for a career-high 90 yards
The Cowboys, who entered the game with the nation's third-ranked defense (277.0 yards per game) and having allowed just two field goals in their previous two games, were again stout.
The Horned Frogs had won three of the four previous meetings with Oklahoma State.
Graduate student Emari Demercado, TCU's lone available scholarship running back, rushed for a career-high 90 yards on 14 carries, including a 13-yard scoring run.
TCU got on the board in the first quarter on a 44-yard Griffin Kell field goal. It was the 365th consecutive game the Horned Frogs scored, tying Michigan (1984-2014) for the second-longest streak in NCAA history.
True freshman quarterback Sam Jackson's first collegiate pass was a 62-yard completion to Taye Barber. It was a career-long reception for Barber and set up a 13-yard Demercado scoring run on the next play.
The Horned Frogs' final points came via its defense as Colt Ellison returned a fumble 28 yards for a touchdown.

TCU will host Kansas at 3 p.m. next Saturday, Nov. 20, in its final home game of the season. The Horned Frogs will honor their senior class in a pregame ceremony.
