FROG FOCUS
The Horned Frogs close out their five-game homestand this weekend. They are 3-0 to this point with wins over No. 40 USF, No. 14 Ole Miss and No. 8 Stanford.
The latest polls moved TCU back into the top-10 for the first time since the preseason team poll. In singles play, four Horned Frogs are ranked with three holding the highest individual ranking of their careers. Reigning Big 12 player of the week, Alastair Gray, jumped 20 spots in the rankings to No. 30 in the country. Luc Fomba is now No. 77 with Tadeas Paroulek rejoining the rankings at No. 105. Jacob Fearnley retained his position in the national rankings, coming in at No. 119.
Sophomore Sander Jong has extended his career-best win streak to six singles matches. He, along with his partner Tadeas Paroulek are ranked No. 55 in doubles, moving up two spots. Fearnley and Gray remain the highest-ranked pair on the team at No. 27.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Tulsa holds a 10-5 record heading into the weekend. The Golden Hurricane are looking for their first true-road victory of the 2020 campaign, they are 0-4 to this point. Tulsa's record against Power 5 opponents sits at 2-4 this dual season.
The all-time series between TCU and Tulsa is tied, 12-12. The Horned Frogs are looking for revenge after dropping the match last season, 4-2, in Oklahoma. TCU had won the previous five meetings before last year's defeat.
Tulane comes into Fort Worth boasting a No. 43 ranking. The Green Wave are 5-4 heading into the weekend, they will battle Texas in Austin on Friday before their Sunday afternoon tilt at TCU. The team comes into the weekend with confidence after beating SMU, 6-1, at home last weekend.
This will be the seventh all-time meeting between TCU and Tulane. The Horned Frogs lead the series, 5-1, including a thrilling, 4-3 victory last season in New Orleans.
