Frogs begin play in Hawai'i on Thursday
FORT WORTH – TCU's men's golf team will begin its spring season on Thursday at the 29th annual Amer Ari Intercollegiate at the Waikoloa Beach Resort in Waikoloa, Hawai'i.
The Shotgun start will begin at 11:30 a.m. CT each day. The Frogs will play the second round on Friday and finish up with the final round on Saturday.
It's the 29th straight season that TCU will compete at a tournament in Hawai'i and the competition there, as usual will be very competitive. The 20-team field includes six teams ranked in the GolfStat Top 25, including four of the top 10. Big 12 teams competing along with TCU will be No. 2 Texas Tech, No. 25 Texas and defending Big 12 Champion Oklahoma State.
The five that will compete for TCU are Caden Christopherson, Mateo Fernández de Oliveira, Gustav Frimodt, Justin Gums and Aymeric Laussot.
Last season, TCU finished in seventh place. As a freshman, Gums shot 4-uncer 212 and finished tied for 24th to lead the Frogs.
LAST TIME OUT
TCU finished tied for 11th place at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 20 in Alpharetta, Ga. Thomas Allkins tied for 11th place to lead the Frogs.

• Was among TCU's top three finishers in all four tournaments this season.
