TCU begins round two at 11:30 a.m. CT

WAIKOLOA, Hawai'i – Freshman Mateo Fernández de Oliveira leads the TCU men's golf team as play began Thursday at the Waikoloa Kings' Course in Waikoloa, Hawai'i.

The Frogs are tied for ninth with USC after shooting 4-under 284. No. 2 Georgia Tech and No. 19 Texas lead the 20-team field at 14-under 274.

Fernández de Oliveira had five birdies and shot 3-under 69 to finish the first round tied for 17^th. Aymeric Laussot is tied for 28^th and also shot under par at 2-under 70.

Caden Christopherson shot an eagle on the par 5 No. 18 hole. The freshman shot even-par 72 and is tied for 51^st.
