TCU totals a season-best 501 yards of offense
The Horned Frogs totaled a season-best 501 yards of offense in defeating the Cowboys for the third time in the last four seasons. For the first time in 20 seasons with Gary Patterson as head coach, TCU had two 100-yard receivers (Derius Davis, 139; Quentin Johnston, 114) and a 100-yard rusher (Duggan, 104).
TCU rallied from a 13-0 deficit to take a 21-16 lead. After Oklahoma regained a 22-21 advantage, Duggan hit Davis on a 71-yard touchdown pass with 7:56 to play to give the Horned Frogs a 27-22 lead. Duggan then completed a 2-yard pass on a fade to Johnston to make it a 29-22 game.
On its ensuing series, the Cowboys reached the TCU 9 with a 2nd-and-goal. Moehrig ended the threat with a one-handed interception in the back of the end zone. Oklahoma State reached the TCU 25 on its next possession, but the Horned Frogs' defense stiffened again as the Cowboys turned the ball over on downs.
Trailing 13-0, TCU took advantage of a short field to close within 13-7 on a Duggan 1-yard touchdown run with 42 seconds left in the first half. A 31-yard completion from Duggan to Davis on the previous play set up the score. Davis set a career high with six receptions in the game.
The Horned Frogs opened the second half with an 11-play, 75-yard drive, converting a pair of fourth-down tries, to close within 16-14 on a Duggan 42-yard scoring run on a 4th-and-1 keeper.
A Duggan 46-yard completion to Johnston on TCU's next series set up a Zach Evans 1-yard scoring run to give TCU its first lead of the game at 21-16 with 6:10 left in the third quarter. Johnston had three catches to post his first 100-yard receiving game.
Garret Wallow led the TCU defense with 11 tackles, reaching double figures for the fifth time in the last seven games and 15th time in his career. Dee Winters added a career-high 10 stops.

TCU will close the regular season next Saturday, Dec. 12, with a 6 p.m. home game versus Louisiana Tech.
