Women’s Tennis prepares for fourth tournament of the fall season
FORT WORTH -- TCU Women's Tennis travels down to College Station for its fourth tournament of the fall season this weekend at the Mitchell Tennis Center on the campus of Texas A&M.
The Horned Frogs will be bringing four members on the trip, including ITA Regional semifinalist Mercedes Aristegui. This will be her second appearance of the fall after notching three singles victories in her debut last weekend. She will be joined by the fall leader in wins this season, freshman Isabel Pascual Montalvo. The spooky Spaniards will be hoping for more strong results this Halloween weekend.
Also making the journey for TCU will be Stevie Kennedy and Margaret Polk, both registered multiple singles victories at the ITA Regional Championships last weekend and carry momentum with them into this tournament.
The Horned Frogs will be battling student-athletes from Rice, Baylor and the hosts, Texas A&M. The Horned Frogs played Rice in the 2020 home opener last season, defeating the Owls in a 4-3 thriller on the purple courts.
