
Frogs Finish Ninth at Maridoe

Ball leads TCU in conclusion of fall season
CARROLLTON, Texas – TCU moved up two spots to finish ninth at the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational Tuesday in Carrollton, Texas.
After a day of cold and wet weather, sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 80s made for great playing conditions at Maridoe Golf Club. The Horned Frogs took advantage and shot 5-over 293, their second-best round of the season. TCU finished 59-over 923 to finish ahead of East Tennessee State (+62), Iowa State (+66) and Coastal Carolina (+75)
Senior Spencer Ball led the Frogs by placing tied for 32nd overall. He shot 2-over 74 in the third round and 10-over 226 for the tournament.
Sophomore Aymeric Laussot had the low round for TCU at 1-under 71. Included in his round was a bogey-free front nine where he shot 1-under 35. He finished 17-over 233 overall and placed tied for 48th.
Sophomores Chris Berzina and Caden Christopherson had their best rounds of the tournament Tuesday. Berzina shot 3-over 75 and finished tied for 53rd place and Caden Christopherson shot 1-over 73 and finished tied for 58th.
Oklahoma State (+16) won the tournament, which featured 10 teams ranked in the top 25. Texas Tech's Kyle Hogan won the individual title at 1-under 215. He was the only player to finish under par.
This concludes TCU's fall schedule. The Horned Frogs' spring schedule will be released at a later date.
