TCU Rushes Past Purdue, 34-13

Anderson rushes for career-high 179 yards
The Horned Frogs held a 40:33 to 19:27 edge in time of possession and outgained the Boilermakers 421 to 204 in total offense. Purdue was held to 23 yards rushing.
Purdue put the first set of points on the board with a 31-yard field goal from J.D. Dellinger with 11:35 to play in the first quarter.
Following a Trevon Moehrig interception with 9:17 left in the first quarter, Olonilua managed to keep TCU's offensive drive going when he bull-rushed his way for 12 yards on a 4th-and-1 play. Seven plays later, Jonathan Song tied the game with a 34-yard field goal at the 4:09 mark.
On TCU's ensuing drive, Anderson scampered his way to a 32-yard touchdown run and Song's PAT put the Horned Frogs up 10-3 with 1:14 left in the first quarter. Purdue countered with a 53-yard field goal from Dellinger, cutting TCU's lead to four points, 10-6, with 12:35 left to play in the second quarter.
TCU pushed its lead to 13-6 on a 40-yard field goal from Song with 1:09 left in the second quarter, giving the Horned Frogs a seven-point lead heading into the halftime break.
The Horned Frogs scored a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter to push their lead to 27-6. Max Duggan hooked up with Al'Dontre Davis from 22 yards out with 8:12 to play and Olonilua had his own number called when he scored from the 1-yard line on a direct snap with 1:24 to play.
Anderson scored his second touchdown of the evening with an 8-yard run at the 5:45 mark in the fourth quarter.
Anderson and Olonilua gave TCU a pair of 100-yard rushers for the first time since 2015. TCU totaled 346 rushing yards as a team, marking the first time since 2016 that a Horned Frogs squad rushed for at least 300 yards in a game.

TCU will return home next week to host SMU (3-0) on Saturday, Sept. 21, at Amon G. Carter Stadium. Kickoff between the Horned Frogs and Mustangs is set for 2:30 p.m.
