Horned Frogs will honor four on Senior Day
SPRINGTOWN, Texas – The eighth-ranked TCU equestrian program will host No. 3 SMU tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Turning Point Ranch. It is Senior Day for the Frogs. TCU will honor Olivia Cerino, Marah Huston, Kassi Jones and Jada Taylor for all of their contributions to the program.
Director of Equestrian Haley Schoolfield
"This will be a bittersweet meet as we honor our seniors. They all hold very important leadership roles on our team and are responsible for our team culture. We could not be more proud of the ladies that they have become and the way that they represent TCU. We've also worked through some improvements and tightened up in some areas. We are looking for a strong showing against SMU."
Scouting the Frogs
TCU comes into the meet after falling to Baylor last weekend in the Big 12 finale. The Frogs continued their strong individual showings winning another three Most Outstanding Performers, upping the season total to 43. A win would bring the Frogs back to .500 and would benefit them greatly in the seeding for the team championship.
Scouting the Mustangs
SMU comes into the meet with a 7-3 record on the season. The Mustangs fell their last time out, losing 10-8 versus No. 1 Auburn at home. SMU finished a perfect 3-0 in its conference schedule and will also be concluding their regular season with this meet.
Series History
TCU and SMU are even at 4-4 in the all-time series. The Mustangs got the best of the Frogs in their first meeting this season, 11-6. The Frogs, however, took down the Mustangs last year at Turning Point Ranch, 14-4. The Frogs are 2-1 all-time when facing SMU at home.
