Horned Frogs finish the season with third match against No. 1 ranked opponent
FORT WORTH – TCU volleyball closes out the 2019 season with its third opportunity against the No. 1 ranked team in the nation. The Horned Frogs will battle No. 1 Baylor Saturday afternoon, 2:00 p.m., in Waco, Texas. This will be the fifth chance for TCU to upset the top-ranked team after coming up short in its previous attempts this season.

-This will be the second meeting of the season between TCU and Baylor, the Bears won the previous meeting on Oct. 12, in Fort Worth.
- The Horned Frogs are coming off a 3-1 loss to Oklahoma on an emotional senior night.
- 2,508 fans were in attendance, the second largest crowd in program history and the largest in the Jill Kramer era.

- Afedo Manyang led the team in blocks for the team-leading ninth time this season, with six. It's her season-high in a Big 12 match, marking the second straight match she's set that personal accolade – five blocks in last match vs. TTU.
- McKenzie Nichols finished with 49 assists and a career-best five kills. It was her seventh 40+ assist match and the sixth such performance in her last eight appearances.
- The TCU offense finished with 65 kills, the second consecutive match with over 60 kills. TCU has five such matches this season, including four in its last five.
- Oklahoma had held Big 12 opponents to just 12.42 kills/set in conference play, TCU delivered 16.25/set tonight. It was the most kills OU has surrendered in a four set match this season.
- TCU hit .264 as a team tonight. The only teams to have hit for a higher clip against Oklahoma this season were Texas (twice) and Baylor (once).
Ice Ice Katie
-Sophomore Katie Clark has been on a tear since moving to the middle blocker position at Kansas.
-Since moving to the middle blocker position, Clark has delivered 2.88 kills/set, 1.09 blocks/set and 3.57 points/set on a team-best .324 hitting.
-She has tallied 3+ blocks in all nine matches in the middle, including two matches with 5+ blocks: 7 vs. Kansas and 6 vs. Texas Tech.
-Clark has earned double-digit kills in five of her nine matches in the middle and 11 matches overall this season, a career-best.
-The Arlington native leads the team with 148 kills in conference play, including a career-high 21 in her previous match against Texas Tech.
-Her 21 kills against TTU earlier this season stands as the seventh most kills in a single Big 12 match this season.

-Sophomore élan McCall earned the start at libero, where she led the team with 12 digs in three sets, then, her best mark of the season.
-Freshman middle blocker Afedo Manyang made a significant impact off the bench. After entering the match in the first set, Manyang led the team with three blocks while adding in four kills on a team-best .400 hitting.
-Junior middle blocker Sarah Swanson delivered a strong effort as well, finishing with seven kills on .294 hitting, her best kill total in Big 12 play this season.
Scouting the Opponent: Baylor
-Baylor enters play as the No. 1 team in the country with a record of 24-1.
-Yossiana Pressley will finish her breakout season. She is second in the nation in kills/set (5.60) and third in the country in points/set (5.99).
-The Bears are 12-0 at home this season.
-BU leads the all-time series 15-7. TCU is hoping to end a run of five straight Baylor victories, dating back to Sept. 23, 2017.
