TCU Faces Top Competition in Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. – The TCU women's cross-country team competed at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on Friday, where they got their first look at some of the top teams in the nation.
SEASON BESTSSix Horned Frogs improved their season marks on Friday. Sophomore Evelyn Mandel and freshman Mariah Castillo led the way with times of 21:25.3 and 21:34.2, respectively. New season best times were also set by seniors Kirsten Johnston (22:14.1), Elizabeth Baker (23:21.4) and Erin Barth (23:48.8), and freshman Isabella Aguiar (6:26.6).
COACH'S THOUGHTS
"This was a bit of a shock to the system for us considering many of the top teams in the country were present," cross country coach Jennifer Fazioli said, "but it was good for us to get this opportunity and should only make us stronger going forward."
TCU's next event will feature both the men and the women as they head back to College Station to compete in the Texas A&M Arturo Barrios Invitational on Saturday, October 13.
