Play begins Sunday at 7:45 a.m. at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth
FORT WORTH, Texas – For the first time in two seasons, the TCU men's golf team will compete in Fort Worth when they play at the challenging Nike Collegiate Invitational Sunday through Tuesday.
Hosted annually by either TCU or Oregon, the fifth edition of the NCI will take place at historic Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, home of the longest running event at a non-major site on the PGA Tour, The Charles Schwab Challenge.
Play will begin with a shotgun start on Sunday at 7:45 a.m. The earliest the second round will begin on Monday is 8 a.m. and Tuesday will start at 7:30 a.m.
The NCI will feature 15 programs, all sponsored by Nike, including nine ranked in the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Top 25 Poll, five of which are in the top 10. Leading the field is No. 2 Georgia along with No. 3 USC and defending national champion and current No. 4 ranked Oklahoma.
The Horned Frogs are ranked No. 20 according to Golfweek. The Golfstat ranking will come out later this month. The five individuals that will compete for TCU are Alejandro Aguilera, Triston Fisher, Turner MacLean, Pierre Mazier and Stefano Mazzoli.

THE COURSE – Par 70 | 7,204 yards
The Colonial Country Club was established in 1936. It's located on the south bank of the Clear Fork of the Trinity River, just northwest of the campus of TCU. In addition to the annual PGA Tour stop, Colonial hosted the 1941 U.S. Open, the 1975 Tournament Players Championship and the 1991 U.S. Women's Open.

Mazzoli led the Frogs to a ninth place finish at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club outside of Portland, Ore. He tied for 18th and finished 4-under 209 for the tournament. MacLean just missed a top 20 finish as he was 22nd at 3-under 210.
NCI HISTORY
Past champions of the NCI are Oklahoma (2017), Vanderbilt (2016), Wake Forest (2015) and Oregon (2014). Past individual medalists at the NCI are Norman Xiong of Oregon (2017), Mav McNealy of Stanford (2016), Beau Hossler of Texas (2015) and Thomas Lim of Oregon (2014).
NON-TCU PLAYERS TO WATCH
Headlining the individuals are USC senior Justin Suh, the No. 2 ranked individual in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and Texas freshman Cole Hammer, who is ranked No. 9. Suh and Hammer both represented the United States in the recent World Amateur in Ireland where they finished second. Suh is also the winner of the 2018 Pac-12 Championship and this past summer's Northeast Amateur.

Alejandro Aguilera (Freshman – Madrid, Spain) – Shot back-to-back rounds of 5-under 67 at Pebble Beach to finish tied for 13th (6-under 210) at the Carmel Cup in his collegiate debut… Finished runner-up at the 2016 Boys Amateur Championship… Won the 2016 Inter Autonomico de Espana… Was the runner-up at Scotland's 2016 Boys Amateur Championship.
Triston Fisher (Senior – Southlake, Texas) – Led TCU at The Carmel Cup in the opener after shooting a career-best 7-under 209 at Pebble Beach… Played at the U.S. Amateur at Pebble Beach on Aug. 14… Two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team… Posted a career-best scoring average of 73.82 last season.
Turner MacLean (Senior – Fort Worth) – Finished tied for 19th at The Carmel Cup in the opener at 4-under 212 at Pebble Beach… Two-time Academic All-Big 12… Posted a career-best season average of 72.62 last season.
