FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU women's cross country team continues its season on Friday, at the Nuttycombe Invitational hosted by No.7 Wisconsin. Friday's field will be the deepest the Horned Frogs have faced so far this season, featuring many of the nation's top teams.
MEET INFO
The women's 6,000m is scheduled for 12:20 p.m. at Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country course, the site of this year's NCAA Championship meet.
Saturday's meet will offer live results and a live stream via FloTrack. The field includes No. 1 New Mexico, No. 2 Colorado, No. 5 Boise State, No. 6 NC State, No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 8 Villanova, No. 9 Arkansas, No. 13 Penn State, No. 15 Michigan State, No. 17 Iowa State, No. 19 Indiana, No. 25 Providence, and No. 29 Oklahoma State.
LAST TIME OUT
TCU competed at the Texas A&M Invitational where the women's team finished second. Three Horned Frogs finished top ten, led by freshman Mariah Castillo. In her collegiate debut, Castillo finished fourth overall with a 21:57.8 mark. Finishing right behind Castillo, Evelyn Mandel finished fifth overall in 22:01.7. Lindsay Tomaini finished ninth in 22:13.5. TCU was one of two schools with three top 10 finishers. Kirsten Johnston ran 22:20.1 for an 11th place finish.
