
Swierczynski Receives Academic Honor

FORT WORTH, Texas â€" Recent TCU swimming and diving graduate Jakub Swierczynski has been named Scholar All-American Honorable Mention by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.50 or higher and achieved a "B" time standard. Swierczynski recorded a "B" time standard in the 100 breast at the Texas Invitational when he swam 55.31. Later in the season, he swam 54.57 at the at the Big 12 Conference Championship meet.
"Very excited to announce Jakub as a Scholar All-American Honorable Mention," head swimming and diving coach James Winchester said. "A key part for our program to succeed at the highest level is to be successful in the classroom and the pool. For Jakub to have a GPA above 3.50 and to have a consideration time for the NCAA championships shows what can be done here in our program. Congrats to Jakub on a successful career here at TCU in both the classroom and the pool."
Last week, the CSCAA announced both the men's and women's teams as Scholar All-America Teams.
