
Frogs Wrap Up Meet Versus SMU, Arizona

TCU concludes two-day event
DALLAS – The TCU swimming and diving team concluded its double dual meet against SMU and Arizona on Friday at Robsen and Lindley Aquatic Center.
For the two-day event, the Frogs set a total of eight top-10 times throughout the meet and won six events.

DAY ONE
The first day of action got started with a bang, as the quartet of Paige Taber, Nina Vadovicova, Aubrey Finn and Karolin Victoria Kotsar set the seventh-fastest time in the 400 meldey relay (3:40.26). Freshman Avery Dillon would then follow in the next event with an event win in the 1650 free, setting the third-quickest effort in TCU history with a 16:35.14.
Aaron Wilmes would help the Frogs earn an event sweep in the 1650 free, touching the wall in 15:20.69. Edgar Cicanci would finish second in the 100 back, posting a 47.26.
Nina Vadovicova would set a new personal-best in the 100 breast, gaining the second-fastest mark in school history after clocking a 1:00.37. Filip Suchanski placed third in the 200 IM, notching a time of 1:48.41.
To close out the first day of action, the relay of Viktor Hristov, Nigel Forbes, Nick Rozenberg and Peter Horton would earn the 10th-fastest time in program history in the 200 free relay, touching the wall in 1:20.17. On the women's side, Molly Cullen's leadoff split of 23.08 was good enough for eighth as well.
In diving, Emma Larcada Herrera posted a second-place finish on 3-meter, securing a total of 242.05 points. Elliott Dillon came in fourth on the men's side with a 313.05.
DAY TWO
The men's relay squad of Cicanci, Colin Clough, Forbes and Horton got Friday's events started with an impressive 1:26.60 to place 10th in school history. Dillon captured another top-10 time for her weekend, touching the wall in 4:50.09 to win the 500 free and place sixth in the TCU record books.
Vadovicova would come in first in the 200 breast posting a 2:12.50 effort. Taylor Steelman would also gain a victory in the 400 IM, clocking a 4:22.80. Nicole Christensen would come in third in the event as well with a time of 4:26.53.
On the men's side of the 400 IM, Suchanski and Giannis Skarris finished second and third with collective marks of 3:55.59 and 3:56.77 to close out the top-three finishes in competition for TCU.
Larcada Herrera would win on women's 1-meter, scoring a 263.80. On the men's side, David Ekdahl finished second after totaling a 330.15.
