
Suchanski Tabbed Big 12 Men’s Swimmer of the Week

Sophomore earns third weekly conference accolade of career
FORT WORTH – Filip Suchanski of the TCU swimming and diving team has been named the Big 12 Men's Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced Thursday.
The award comes after TCU faced off against Texas A&M this past weekend in College Station, where the men's side fell 198-98.
Suchanski was the top point scorer for TCU in the dual against Texas A&M, winning the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:43.52. He also placed third in the 100 back (48.50), contributed a 23.22 split on the fourth-place 200 medley relay (1:30.27), and set a new personal best in the 200 freestyle (1:37.99).
It is the second Big 12 weekly honor this season for Suchanski and the third of the sophomore's career.
Suchanski and the TCU swimming and diving team will be back in action next weekend, Oct. 30-31, as they will head to Dallas to take on SMU and Arizona.
