Mazzoli Leads Frogs in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Junior Stefano Mazzoli shot his sixth-straight round under par and finished tied for third at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas, Nev.
Mazzoli shot 2-under 70 Wednesday to finish 5-under 211 for the tournament. On the season, he has shot even or under par in all seven tournaments and has finished in the top 10 four times.
As a team, the Horned Frogs finished fifth at 1-over 865. In another tough field, TCU finished ahead of many highly-ranked teams such as No. 4 Alabama, No. 8 Oklahoma, No. 14 Illinois, No. 21 UCLA and No. 28 Pepperdine. No. 5 Florida won the tournament at 5-under 859.
Junior Pierre Mazier shot 1-under 71 to finish tied for 28th. He shot 3-over 219 for the tournament.
Junior Turner MacLean finished one shot back of Mazier at 4-over 229 to tie for 35th.
The Frogs will next compete at the Mission Inn Spectacular March 17-18 at Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
