
Frogs, Ravetto Lead in Florida

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – After 36 holes on Saturday, the TCU men's golf team is in first place at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular, as is junior David Ravetto.
Competing as an individual, Ravetto shot 5-under 139 on the day, including a 3-under 69 in the second round. The transfer from Texas Weslyan is three shots ahead of second place and four shots ahead of teammate Stefano Mazzoli.
After shooting 4-over 76 in the first round to end an impressive streak of six consecutive rounds of under par, Mazzoli shot a tournament-best 5-under 67 to end Saturday in fourth place. It was the junior's ninth time this season to shoot sub-70.
Junior Triston Fisher is tied for sixth at 2-over 146 and junior Hayden Springer is tied for 12th at 4-over 148. Springer shot 2-under 70 in the second round. Junior Pierre Mazier shot 7-over 151 to end the second round tied for 24th.
The Horned Frogs, who lead second-place USC Upstate by five strokes, will go for their second team in the past three tournaments when the final round begins Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. CT.
