TCU Stumbles to No. 17 Kansas

FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU women's tennis team stumbled to No. 17 Kansas on Sunday at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center as the Horned Frogs dropped a 4-1 decision to wrap-up the opening weekend of Big 12 action in Fort Worth.
The Frogs (9-8, 0-2 Big 12) fell behind early in doubles as the Jayhawks (11-4, 3-1 Big 12) were able to grab the early lead with wins on courts two and three.
In singles, Donika Bashota was able to put TCU on the board as the senior scored win No. 17 this season with a 6-4, 6-1 win on court four. The Frogs continued to battle on the rest of the courts, but late breaks ultimately hurt TCU as Kansas was able to take the victory on the top three courts to finish out the match and take the victory.
