
TCU Upended by the Sooners

The Horned Frogs dropped the four-set road match on Friday to Oklahoma.
NORMAN, Okla. – Despite splitting the opening two sets, the TCU volleyball team could not overcome a consistent Oklahoma Sooner squad as the Horned Frogs dropped a 3-1 (25-23, 22-25, 25-17, 25-15) decision on Friday night inside McCasland Field House in Norman, Okla.
It was a tight battle between the Frogs (13-11, 5-8 Big 12) and Sooners (15-10, 7-6 Big 12) through the opening two sets as Oklahoma used a strong run at the end of the first set to take the early 1-0 lead. TCU used a strong offensive push by Anna Walsh and élan McCall in the second set to even up the match at 1-1. TCU could not hold onto the momentum as the Sooners used early runs in the final two sets to control the rest of the match and finish off the match in four sets.
Walsh and McCall each totaled 18 kills apiece in the match to lead the offense while McCall also totaled 17 digs for a double-double. Tori Dilfer also recorded a double-double of 42 assists and 15 digs while Berklie Baker led the defense with 21 digs.
